The Organix Coconut Milk Split Ends Mender caught my attention during a vacation with a lot of swimming and many beach hours. Looking for something natural, organic if possible, to care for my hair & keep it from drying out completely. Preferably smelling like sea, sand and sun.
The Organix Coconut Milk Split Ends Mender appealed to me because I personally love smelling like coconut and because of the brand name, sounding ‘organic’. I have to admit – this was before I started reading the labels of my cosmetics. After getting into the whole researching cosmetic ingredients-thing, I took another look at this product and boy, did they have me fooled.
The brand Organix is everything BUT an organic skincare brand and the ingredients of their Coconut Milk Split Ends Mender are everything but organic. Most of them aren’t even natural at all. More on that under “ingredients”, further down.
Packaging
A plastic bottle with a practical twist-top to open and close the pump before and after use.
Texture
Creamy white, with a persistant coconut scent, that lingers pretty much all day. (Longer if you don’t wash your hair every day.)
Scent
You must have gotten it by now, if you continued reading my Organix Coconut Milk Split Ends Mender Review this far: a coconut lovers’ dream – coconut haters: run the other way.
Ingredients
Ingredients (INCI): DI water (aqua), cyclomethicone, dimethicone, propylene glycol, glycerin, sodium polyacrylate, hydrogenated polydecene, trideceth-6, laureth-4, cetyl alcohol, silk amino acid complex, coconut milk, egg white protein, coconut oil, parfum.
What I like about the Organix Coconut Milk Split Ends Mender
Huge fan of the intoxicating sweet coconut scent.
The product did make my hair smooth. Unfortunately this is most likely due to the silicone (dimethicone) and not the coconut milk.
What I like less about the Organix Coconut Milk Split Ends Mender
Is this brand misleading people with its name, since their products have nothing to do with organic hair care? I guess it’s up to the customer to check ingredients of what they’re buying. However, this brand is definitely riding the wave of the organic hair care trend. Until you check the label, then you realize there’s nothing organic about the split ends mender, apart from the minuscule amount of actual coconut milk in it. I fell for the organic image though, big time.
Final thoughts on the Organix Coconut Milk Split Ends Mender
If you want organic hair care and love coconut as much as I do, get yourself some delicious organic coconut oil and use it as a natural hair treatment. The Organix Coconut Milk Split Ends Mender is not very natural and does not deserve to stay in my organic hair care routine.

I have LOVED this product but now can’t find it anywhere!! What’s the deal??
Hi Sheila, I’m not sure – didn’t know it went ‘missing’. I’m no longer interested in this product, because it’s basically a base of silicones and petrochemicals, with a drop of coconut thrown in for marketing purposes. Used to find it at Wal-Mart, they no longer have it?
