Doing this Aurelia Miracle Cleanser Review turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. It’s an awesome natural face cleanser that took some getting used to.

Packaging
Aurelia’s Miracle Cleanser regular size comes in a tinted glass jar of 120 ml (4 ounces). I purchased a very generously sized sample tube with 30 ml (about 1 ounce) of the product. Even though it is smaller than the full-size cleanser, this tube is much more than a “sample” or even a “miniature”. It lasted about four weeks!
With the minimalism-meets-luxury packaging design in light pink, white and gold, Aurelia Probiotic Skincare packaging is very chic.
Texture
It has a luscious, creamy consistency. The cleanser is rather thick, and Aurelia Probiotic Skincare directions for use are to massage a little bit onto the face with gentle, circular movements.
Subsequently, you are supposed to wipe your face clean with the muslin cloth and warm water. I couldn’t tell if anything was happening, due to the cleanser dissipating upon contact with the skin, and the muslin cloth not showing any of it either.
Not sure how this is supposed to work, because the cleanser almost entirely disappears after a few circular movements. It took a very large amount to do just one face cleaning. The first time trying it, after massaging the cream onto my face for mere seconds, I had nothing left to spread out. Using a whole lot (and going through one full-sized cleanser a week) more is obviously not a viable solution in the long run.
The muslin cloth
Oh yes, and then there’s the little cloth. You’re not supposed to use the same muslin cloth every day, because they become a harbor for bacteria. Muslin cloths are a logistical nightmarish and laundry-intensive concept. Not my thing, guys.
Either way, I was far from being blown away by this natural cleanser. Nice looking & smelling, though unfortunately a rather crappy product in use. Such a bummer, since the ingredients are amazing!
Hello, out-of-the-box thoughts!
Welcome to the game. Indeed, sunsequently my out-of-the-box thinking finally woke up from hibernation and I started experimenting without regard for the direction for use.
Went back to using less of the cleanser, and dividing that in little dabs on my forehead, cheeks, and chin, massaging it in with wet fingers (not dry) and a few drops of water, and finally got something good going on.
With the tiny amount of water, the cleanser becomes creamy enough to lather. Not in a soapy kind of way, but at least it no longer disappears completely. Rinsing the leftover cream with bare hands and warm water works just fine (bye bye muslin) and my face felt really nice.
Too much water and the cleanser gets washed away before it has the chance to do anything. Not enough water and it vanishes almost immediately into thin air. But with the perfect amount of moisture added Aurelia’s Miracle Cleanser is a joy to use.
Scent
None of Aurelia’s skincare products smell very floral. This cleanser has a hint of Turkish Hammam/sauna, and to me, it’s a very pleasant fragrance – just know that it is not exactly flowery or herbal.

Looks like a nice and clean list of ingredients, with a lot of plant extracts, as well as shea butter and cocoa butter.
Note the presence of synthetic preservatives to prevent bacterial growth. Since you’ll dip into the jar with your fingers I’m all for that, but if you prefer avoiding synthetics all together this cleanser isn’t the one.
Summary; Aurelia’s Miracle Cleanser
Reasons to love-love:
- It is very gentle with natural ingredients.
- The texture is velvety smooth.
- The scent is quite original, but I really like its freshness.
- Makes my skin feel clean and fresh all while being very gentle. Great for sensitive skin.
Less thrilled about:
- The original directions for use don’t make sense.
- The system with the muslin cloth.
Enjoyable & delicate
After ditching the directions for use, this cleanser became a whole lot more enjoyable. Too bad I wasted so much of it in the process.
Also, it doesn’t seem to be meant for really tough jobs, for example for something like waterproof sunscreen you’ll probably need to bring in a bigger cleansing gun.
Last word on the muslin cloth.
The muslin cloth is supposedly antibacterial, but I am not sure what that means or how many washes it lasts. You get one muslin cloth with each cleanser, but Aurelia has a set of seven muslins available for purchase separately. So, if the cloth appeals to you, you can get as many as needed. (Or make some, if you’re crafty, which is probably a lot cheaper.)
Aurelia Probiotic Skincare’s concept and packaging design are so lovely! Bonus points for the tiny pink ribbon around the muslin.
Pricetag: US $62.
