Organic Body Wash Top 5

A fully natural, organic body wash, is that possible…? Yes!

Instead of the usual foaming agents, some of the best organic skincare brands have created fresh shower gel and lathering organic body wash, with natural, organic and bio-degradeable ingredients!

What’s so bad about a regular body wash?

Check your products for the following ingredients: Sodium Laureth Sulfate, SLS, Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate, SLES,

The main advantage of SLS and SLES is that they are cheap. A very attractive feature to cosmetic manufacturers who’s first objective is to make profit.

Sodium Laureth Sulfate and other related agressive detergents are very irritant to the eyes and skin. They can be contaminated with cancer causing chemicals. The problem is not that these substances are initially of natural origin, like palm oil. It is in the treatment of these vegetable oils, a chemical process called ethoxylation, that the problem arises. During that process, the substance gets contaminated with 1.4 dioxane, a cancer causing chemical. Traces of 1.4 dioxane can remain present in the end product, like Sodium Laureth Sulfate. The same is true for other ethoxylated substances.

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate are alternatives, but still agressive to the eyes and skin. They have been excessively tested on animals (rats, mice and beagle dogs) and have been linked to eye irritation and contact dermatitis.

The good news is that these artificial foaming agents are not necessary.

There are better, safer, healthier and more natural arternatives. And that is why you want an organic body wash instead of a regular one.
